ÈThe hospital started to use the EXCIMER machine at 1994, to be able to treat the Myopia with or without astigmatism.

In June 2001, His Highness prince Ra'ed Bin Zaid opened the laser center after being equipped with the latest ESARIAS machine from SCHWIND company.

This machine is able to make corneal topography and detect any changes, then give signals to the correction machine in order to know the phoria degree. Myopia and can be treated using this machine.

The treatment is done by the following steps:
1. Examining the patient

2. A topography is done to the patient

3. The corneas thickness is determine

4. Using a special machine, the membrane is taken off.

5. Laser treatment

6. Returning the membrane to its normal position.
The treatment is done with no pain, and the patient leaves the center immediately
