Visitor Hours
We recognize that visitors play a strong role in helping patients during their stay in our hospital and have prepared policies and aids to assist them while they are visiting. Most important are our patient visiting policies and hours as well as directions on how to find our Hospital.
Additional information is provided to build awareness for both patients and visitors about our ongoing educational and event related programs designed to impart knowledge and practices to improve one’s overall health.
Specialty Hospital visiting policies support the health and wellness of our patients.
- We encourage visiting between the hours of 8:00 am and 10:00 pm.
- Visitors with signs and symptoms of any communicable disease (rashes, respiratory symptoms, draining wounds, etc.) are not allowed to visit.
- Patients may have two visitors at a time.
- On the Paediatrics unit, one family member may stay with the patient at all times.
- Children over 12 years of age can visit immediate family in hospital. Children under the age of 12 can visit at nursing discretion for compassionate reasons and must be accompanied by an adult.
- In Maternal/Newborn, the designated significant other of a labouring or new mom, may visit at any time.
- Pets are not allowed to visit .
If you are hospitalized for an extended length of time, your family may need additional information, particularly if they are from out-of-town. Our well trained staff at our Information Desk (main lobby) can provide answers such as local directions, or can direct family to public telephones, transportation, food services and public washrooms.
