The Specialty Hospital is the first hospital in Jordan to introduce the "Smart Disinfection Robot" UVD-Robot self-driving device to provide the best disinfection methods in the world without human intervention, it kills up to 99.99% of viruses and germs, including COVID-19 virus within 10 minutes only.
This is due to the keenness of the Specialty Hospital to provide a safer environment for its patients and visitors, especially at the designated department to treat COVID-19 patients, the Specialty Hospital administration decided to introduce modern technology to fight COVID-19 virus by purchasing this UVD-Robot, which has been particularly designed for hospitals.
The robot disinfects and sterilizes patients’ rooms, operating theaters, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and isolation departments which operates by Ultra Violet rays, and in 360 degrees, it kills up to 99.99% of viruses and germs, it aims to prevent the spread of infection and protect healthcare providers and patients in our beloved country
Noting that the Specialty Hospital had previously provided sterilization gates at all hospital entrances, and the first Drive Thru COVID-19 station to provide a safe environment for COVID-19 testing with high accuracy using PCR technology. The hospital’s achievements and efforts in combating the COVID-19 were recently crowned with the Elite Plus Hospital Award from the Arab Hospitals Federation and also received a recognition award from the International Hospital Federation tiled “Beyond the Call of Duty for COVID-19 program”.
