The Specialty Hospital, in collaboration with the Global Medicine Initiative and volunteers from the Ghor region, organized a free medical day at Tawahin Al-Sukkar Secondary School for Girls in Ghor Al-Mazra’a, AL-Karak Governorate.
A multi-specialty medical team from the Specialty Hospital participated in the event, including; internal medicine, orthopedics, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, ENT, and general surgery. The team was supported by nursing and pharmacy staff, as well as specialists in nutrition and mental health.
The team provided free medical consultations and comprehensive clinical examinations to more than 800 patients of various age groups. Appropriate medications were also dispensed free of charge based on each patient’s medical needs. The event saw a large turnout from the local community, who expressed deep appreciation for this humanitarian initiative.
Dr. Fawzi Al-Hammouri, General manager of the Specialty Hospital, emphasized on the importance of organizing such medical days targeting less privileged communities. He highlighted their role in enhancing access to healthcare, facilitating early diagnosis and treatment, and raising public health awareness among citizens.
Dr. Al-Hammouri added that this initiative is part of the hospital’s broader strategy to serve the local community, in line with its ongoing commitment to social responsibility across all regions of the Kingdom.
