13 May 2025

The Specialty Hospital participated in the 6th Regional Middle East and North Africa Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) Congress, held during the period May 8–9, 2025, at the Fairmont Hotel – Amman. The conference was chaired by Dr. Mahmoud Izraiq, Head of Jordan Cardiac Interventional group.

The hospital participation in the exhibition held alongside the congress reflects its leading position in the field of cardiology. The Specialty Hospital is recognized as one of the foremost centers in Jordan and the Middle East for comprehensive cardiovascular care. Its Heart Center includes an intensive care unit, a catheterization and vascular department, an electrophysiology unit, and a cardiac rehabilitation center. The hospital's booth attracted a large number of cardiologists from across the Arab region, who expressed their admiration for the hospital’s advanced medical services in this field.

The hospital’s cardiac surgery department is known for its high success rates in open-heart surgeries for both adults and children. The hospital is fully equipped with the latest technologies, including the CT 512 Scan, the only one of its kind in Jordan, which can scan a CT Angiography in a single heartbeat with lower dose of radiation by 80%. The radiology department also features the Signa Hero 3 Tesla MRI from GE, also the only one in Jordan, capable of performing full cardiac MRI imaging. These are supported by specialized intensive care units designed specifically for cardiac cases.

The Catheterization Department includes three state-of-the-art devices, including the Philips Azurion FlexArm, the latest in cardiac and vascular catheterization technology and the first of its kind in the Middle East. This system provides high imaging flexibility and enhanced mobility for medical teams, contributing to better procedural outcomes and reduced radiation exposure. The department also includes a hybrid operating room equipped to the highest international standards.

The Specialty Hospital management extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Mahmoud Izraiq and Dr. Raed Al-Awaisheh for their outstanding efforts in organizing the congress, which served as a prestigious scientific platform for dialogue and exchange of expertise in the field of interventional cardiology at both regional and international levels.
