Where is the Emergency Department located?
The Emergency Department is located on the Ground Floor (GF), with a special entrance on the northern side of Jaber Ibn Hayan Street.
Treatment Rooms within the Emergency Department:
The Emergency Department has been established and equipped with all devices, tools, and equipment that enable staff to handle all types of accidents and injuries, in addition to all emergency medical cases across all specialties. The Emergency Department contains 42 beds.

Patient Triage
Patients in the Emergency Department are classified according to their medical condition and the severity of their illness or injuries, not according to the time of their arrival. This system ensures that emergency medical services are provided immediately to patients in need upon arrival, where they are classified according to approved medical standards.
Upon arrival at the Emergency Department of the hospital, one of the emergency nurses will assess your condition and classify it according to the severity of the case and established medical criteria. Priority is given to critical cases, while less critical cases are monitored by the physician so that appropriate medical services can be provided to patients whose conditions require non-urgent care for a longer period. The Emergency Department works to reduce waiting time as much as possible. It is also equipped with fully prepared ambulances in accordance with the latest international standards and specifications. The Emergency Department receives many air evacuation cases (air ambulance) that arrive at the hospital via a dedicated helipad for the Emergency Department.
Stroke Treatment Center
The Specialty Hospital is considered the first center in Jordan that is pioneering and accredited for the treatment of strokes and acute brain attacks, having obtained accreditation from the American Heart Association as a global center for the care of such cases. It is distinguished by the presence of an integrated neurology center and a specialized medical team that treats acute strokes with exceptional speed, reaching in some cases as fast as 20 minutes. The Specialty Hospital applies the “Stroke Protocol” to ensure rapid medical intervention according to international standards, which has resulted in recovery rates exceeding 90% in many cases. Therefore, The Specialty Hospital has been accredited as a center for stroke treatment.
