The Specialty Hospital keeps pace with the latest scientific findings in the field of eye diseases and micro-surgery, in cooperation with the most experienced doctors and the most efficient in this field, where accurate operations are carried out in various surgical units in the large operations department and that is equipped with the latest medical devices, surgical tools and these units are:
1- The unit of corneal transplantation where the patient often needs to cultivate the cornea if accompanied with the presence of central opacities as a result of various diseases of the cornea, which reduces the severity of vision and difficulty of movement, and for this purpose the unit is occupied with suction and cutting device in order to perform more accurate and successful procedures.
2 - The unit is equipped with the latest equipment to perform such operations, like the Faco system, which works to break down the crystal lens and suction it and then to cultivate the folded lens according to the latest and most advanced methods. The accuracy allows the patient to recover quickly and to get back to his daily activities as soon as possible, which does not take too long during the process contrary to what it was before.
3 - Retinal imaging unit, it specializes in retinal imaging to diagnose the cases of retinal diseases caused by diabetes and aging and other cases of retinal diseases.
• Ophthalmic Imaging (OCT): This device is specialized in retinal imaging to identify the effects of the diseases of the retina and accurately identify and give the diagnosis and treatment, and the OCT device is made by the German company HEIDELBERG which is one of the most accurate and efficient devices.
• Fluorescein Angiography: This device is specialized in retinal imaging to identify the retinal areas of the retina and other high-quality retinal diseases. This device is from the German company HEIDELBERG.
• IOL Master: The special lens is measured for patients who require cataract pull and lens implantation within the eye and this device is made by the German company ZIESS.
• B Scan: a device for the diagnosis of diseases of retinal detachment and glass liquid and this device is made by the company, KANGH, this device is known for it’s accurate results.
4. Retinal and vitreous surgery unit, for the process of cutting the glass liquid thoroughly, retinal treatment and the possibility of using laser in retinal treatment during operation.
This procedure is often needed in patients with diabetic Retinopathy and vitiligo. Other diseases of retinal and vitreous diseases require the use of such sophisticated and device.
5 - Unit of surgical operations for the treatment of different eye diseases by the most modern and most accurate methods.
In addition to all of these there are many cosmetic procedures for the eyelids and other minor operations.
