What we do:

Diagnostic Procedures:

Using advanced echocardiography modalities, CT angiography & magnetic resonance, the following can be assessed accurately for all congenital cardiac abnormalities:

  1. Hemodynamic study.
  2. Detailed anatomy.

Interventional Procedures:

  1. Balloon atrial septostomy.
  2. Closure of septal defects.
  3. Closure of patent ductus arteriosus.
  4. Balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty.
  5. Radiofrequency perforation of the pulmonary valve.
  6. Stenting of pulmonary artery branches.
  7. Balloon coarctation angioplasty.
  8. Stenting coarctation of aorta.
  9. Closure of coronary fistulas.
  10. Closure of aorto-pulmonary collaterals.
  11. Peripheral pulmonary stenting.

Surgical Procedures for Congenital Cardiac Malformations:

All corrective and palliative procedures are done in the Specialty Hospital, with success rate exceeding 95% in most cases. The availability of both a dedicated, experienced operative team and an efficient post-operative team makes operating on these cases a routine in the hospital.
