The section of Pediatric Surgery in the Specialty Hospital is committed to providing and promoting excellence in surgical care.
Children is our first and foremost priority, and their health is a constant source of concern, our surgeons and nurses are specially trained to treat fetal patients, newborns, infants, toddlers, children and young adults, in order to improve and promote the quality of treatment and services in the pediatric surgery at the level of Jordan and worldwide.
We perform a broad range of general surgical procedures, including minor office procedures, as well as inpatient and outpatient procedures; we provide consultation and comprehensive treatment of all operative and non-operative pediatric surgical problems.
This includes common problems such as: hernias, hypospadias hydroceles, cleft lip, imperforate anus, orchidopexy, ENT surgeries, trauma and burn injuries, appendicitis, pyloric stenosis, intussusception, and soft tissue infections.
Uncommon problems include congenital anomalies and tumors of the head, neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis, organ failure requiring transplantation – Kidney Transplantation -, open heart surgeries, Hirschsprung’s disease, necrotizing enterocolitis and hydrocephalus
