The Cardiology Center in Specialty Hospital is one of the leading centers in Jordan and Middle East by providing comprehensive health care for patients with cardiovascular diseases. Recently the Specialty Hospital was awarded by the Joint Commission International as a center of excellence for heart diseases in acute myocardial infarction and acute heart failure and by achieving this certificate the specialty hospital became the first and only center in the Middle East to have such accreditation.
The hospital contains many operating theaters well prepared for open heart surgeries including coronary artery bypass grafts and valvular heart replacement and repair. One of these theaters is a hybrid room that located in the same floor of cardiac cath. center and intensive care to ensure rapid management of critical situations. Our hospital is characterized by the presence of highly integrated intensive cardiac care unit that is equipped with the latest life supporting machines and instruments to maximize the therapy of patients.
Our hospital is one of the first and few centers in the Middle East to perform valvular heart surgeries and repair by minimal invasive surgery and laparoscopic techniques without the need for sternotomies and big open surgeries.
The cardiac center at the Specialty Hospital has been a pioneer in performing valvular replacement by catheterization (TAVI) without the need of surgery or anesthesia.
Other service is also available in hospital including electrophysiological study for all kinds of heart arrhythmias with possible interventional radiofrequency ablation as needed.
