The obstetric and post-partumsection: The obstetric section is considered the corner stone of gynecology and obstetrics section where the hospital provides complete and continuous medical care for the mother and her new born baby presented by well trained, qualified team of doctors, midwives and nurses supervised by the exceptional elite specialists and consultants.
This section, contains several and separated rooms to take in the mother from the moment of admission passing through all stages of labor until the primary supervision after birth. The section around the hour is supervised directly by female doctors that are well trained to handle all critical and urgent cases, monitor them and quickly manage them under the direct supervision of specialists and consultants.
The section follows the most updated protocols and international medical guidelines which concern the induction of labor and its process and the proper use of induction of labor according to the need and the health of the mother with continuous monitoring to both the mother and her baby. Moreover, the protocols are continuously updated to convoy the recent scientific and medical evolvement. These policies insure that the department provides the appropriate treatment and the right intervention of critical cases like cases of postpartum hemorrhage, eclampsia cases and so on.
The section provides epidural anesthesia by well trained and highly professional specialists and team. The department also has well prepared operation rooms that follow the highest standards that assure the highest quality of care.
Every part of the section is directly supervised by the resident doctors, where the maternal health situation is continuously monitored to ensure fast medical intervention if needed.
The department handles cases of pregnancy observation and its complications .It communicates with every relevant medical specialty department to provide the proper care for each individual case. The department follows the “baby friendly hospital interaction” policy which encourages the earlier and natural breast feeding for all newborn to reinforce the immediate communication between the mother and her new born after delivery.
The section, in direct connection with the department of birth and ICU team, has devices to resuscitate the new born to ensure the newborn has the best care and all that is needed directly from the moment of delivery before being transferred to the birth section.
