The specialists in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology have devoted their careers to treating digestive diseases. All of our board certified gastroenterologists are experts in the performance of different procedures, including Gastroscopy, colonoscopy, capsule Endoscopy, ERCP, endoscopic gastric ballon insertion for obesity, and PEG Tube insertion. Services offered by the Section Gastroscopy To diagnose diseases of the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum, such as Gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, malabsorption, cancers, and other conditions.
Colonoscopy To diagnose diseases of the large bowel and the distal part of the small bowel, such as inflammatory bowel diseases, colon cancer, and other conditions.
Capsule Endoscopy To help doctors see inside small intestine - an area that isn't easily reached with more-traditional endoscopy procedures, in order to have a more accurate diagnosis.
Diagnosis and treating cases of Gastrointestinal bleeding.
Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) To diagnose and treat certain problems of the biliary or pancreatic ductal systems, such as bile duct obstruction from a stone or tumor , and other conditions.
Endoscopic Gastric balloon insertion for obesity used for obese patients to lose weight.
PEG Tube Insertion To provide a means of feeding when oral intake is not adequate (for example, because of dysphagia or sedation).
