Because of the success the hospital surgical operations have had both on the national and regional level Specialty Hospital invested in to expanding and updating CSSD in to a modern state of the art and efficient department housed in newly refurbished area of the hospital to meet the high demand for sterile equipment in a timely and safe manner assuring the highest quality of surgical care.

And whole air volume will be changed at least (10) time per hour. Modern equipments were purchased for this department such as a plasma sterilizer for safe effective sterilization also a steam sterilizer that consumes very little water which is important even for the country.
A computer system is implemented to control and manage all functions in the department and this system is the first in the country and in the whole region and the technicians will be trained to become the best technicians in the country to have a CSSD that will become a visiting place for everybody that is interested in sterilization locally and regionally.
This department was contracted with one of most famous surgical instruments manufacturer ( such as Aesculap) to conduct instrument sterilization courses with recognized certificate internationally and locally , and makes the department the first educational center in Jordan for sterilization.
